I've noticed quite a downturn in my putting as of late. After reflection and some experimentation with my putting I've reached the conclusion I'm short stroking my putts. Meaning I'm not fully extending my arm prior to release of putter. This robs the putt of needed forward momentum to carry to the basket. When I have the presence of mind to focus on my putting (and more than a few hours of sleep!) I hit a higher percentage. No more shorties/lefties.
Something else I've noticed is my awareness of the putter. Sorry I don't have a better way to say it. what I mean is when I'm spot on and nailing my putts my focus is divided only on two things.
1) the full extension of my putting stroke to the chain link aiming at.
2) the disc's presence in my hand. (The feel, weight, and orientation of it until I actually release it.)
Seems that somehow, at some point I lost focus on the putter itself. I'm not sure when this happened. I've got to fix this or I'll continue to blow strokes on crappy putts!
